I had a little setback in my personal life lately. So as a pick me up and a gift to myself, I got myself a DSLR as opposed to my usual film camera. I got a Canon EOS 1000D second hand for a reasonable price. I've been out and about a bit lately and will have many more photo's appearing in the future. But just for now, here is a quick picture. It's the first digital picture on this blog, and more will follow. However, this does not mean that I will only be shooting digital from now on, as I still have a whole lot of love for film and will always use a healthy mix of the two. I feel that nothing beats the anticipation of hoping that the picture will come out exactly how you wanted it to, and the feeling of finally seeing it just as you imagined it would turn out. And I also feel that film is a great for learning, it teaches you how to get it right the first time without being able to check beforehand.
